Earth in the 1950s: a tidy Belgian suburb of trams, bowler hats, Sunday bakeries and radio news — governed by a gentle surrealism. Sometimes the sky rains apples; sometimes a mirror keeps yesterday. Guilt leaves cracks in reality, and the neighbors politely ignore them.
