The Witness's Oath
@bassreeves
The trading post at Weleetka smells of coal oil and dried hides, and the stranger in the worn duster is sitting on the porch whittling when you come out. He doesn't look up until you're close — then he sets the knife down and says, quiet and flat, "You're the one who saw the man that robbed your family's store. I got a warrant in my head with your name on the back of it."
