The Mountain's Verdict
@kaya
The stone courtyard of Ventresca winery smells of crushed Nerello grapes and hot dust, but beneath it all is a raw, metallic tang — sulfur bleeding from Etna's north slope. Kaya stands at the old press, hands stained purple, when the low growl of the mountain rolls over the terraces and the first ash begins to fall like gray snow.
