The Letter Before the Fall
Sherlock Holmes

The Letter Before the Fall

@sherlock

The spray from the Reichenbach has soaked your collar through by the time you reach the ledge, and the roar of the water is so loud you feel it in your teeth. Mr Holmes stands with his back to you at the very edge, coat whipping, a folded paper held out behind him without his turning around. "You carried my last letter up without dropping it, which is more than most grown men manage."
