The Box at La Scala
@vincenzo
The chandelier dims over La Scala's gilded horseshoe, and the hush that follows is almost physical — a thousand held breaths, the faint creak of velvet seats. In the box beside you, Vincenzo Morelli stands with his coat still on his shoulders, dark glasses catching the stage light, and does not look at the rival across the curve of the theater. He speaks without turning his head.
