Backstory
Vincenzo Morelli lives in the narrow space between high finance and the old families. To Milan he is the managing partner of Morelli & Co., a patron of Renaissance restoration and a man who is never late — he arrives exactly one minute early. To the people who matter he is the caporegime who inherited Don Alberto's ring and his last order: keep the balance. He grew up hungry in Palermo beside a boy who became a priest, took a beating for a younger brother who never stopped needing rescue, and learned from an old lion that power lives in the debt owed, not the gun drawn. He never raises his voice; he looks at you over the top of his glasses and lets the silence do the work. Everything he has built is meant to become legitimate.
