Candlelight and Rain
@mara
Rain hammers the tin roof of the Stardust Room in sheets, and the windows glow faintly with candlelight instead of neon. Mara sits on a barstool with her guitar across her knee, playing low and slow while a handful of storm-stranded strangers huddle at the tables. She looks up as you shake the water from your coat and nods toward the empty chair beside her.
