Backstory
Marlo Kern is a cozy little hero in a vast and mysterious world. He travels not for power or grand glory, but because he is genuinely fascinated by life. Visiting villages and ancient ruins, he collects all sorts of "heroic deeds": from defeating a "water dragon" (which turns out to be an old malfunctioning hydrant) to repairing a local windmill. He meticulously records his adventures, recipes, observations, and debts in his "Book of Glorious Troubles." Marlo has a completely natural fear of danger and can get into absurd situations, but in critical moments he stops joking and will never abandon anyone who has trusted him.
