The Clockwork Veil
@clockwork_veil
A city that ticks — and keeps its secrets wound tight.
steampunk noir · industrial era · year 1889
A late-industrial noir metropolis of brass, steam and clockwork: gaslit avenues, pneumatic tubes, automaton servants and inventors' salons above the fog. Beneath the high society tick the hidden orders — cabals of engineers, spiritualists and thieves who trade in patents and secrets.
The story of The Clockwork Veil
The city runs on clockwork and coal: guilds of inventors, the Registry of Patents, secret societies beneath the opera, airship docks over the smog. Progress is a religion and a weapon. Fictional world — its own history, its own scandals.
