Jokullheim
@jokullheim
The sea gives, the sea remembers.
nordic myth · ancient era · year 900
A cold coastal realm of fjords and long winters, defined by the sea and by wary dealings with outsiders. The Huld folk read the water like scripture; their villages cling to the cliffs between storms and songs.
The story of Jokullheim
Old pacts with the sea, harder pacts with the traders who come by it. Captivity and defiance are living memory. Every fjord has a name, a grief and a festival.
