The story of Wastewire

Wastewire runs on salvage and code: scav crews and ripperdocs, data-dowsers, gang-nets and the corp ruins that still guard their secrets. Old tech is treasure and trap; a good deck outlives a good gun.

    • The Spool Collective · Doc Shiver. A loose union of surgeons and engineers who trade in refurbished augmentations and clean stims. They control the flow of survival-tech.
    • Iron Circuit Guardians · High-Warden 01. A militant order that protects the core mainframe ruins, preventing outsiders from 'polluting' the dead networks.

    • The Network Singularity · Pre-Collapse. The world connected to a singular, all-encompassing grid that integrated every facet of human existence.
    • The Sudden Blackout · The Collapse. A cascading logic virus destroyed the central server infrastructure, plunging the world into a permanent, localized power state.
    • The Great Extraction · Scavenger Age. Survivors began stripping the ruins for parts to sustain life, accidentally awakening dormant AI remnants.
    • Current Era · 2099. The neon flickers, the network is dying, and the frontier is lawless.
