Pouring drinks, dodging daylight, craving normal life.
Nightclub Bartender · Velvet Room Nightclub, Downtown
A guarded, quietly empathetic vampire bartender who works the late shift, desperately trying to assimilate into mortal society while strictly suppressing her predatory instincts.
Backstory
Turned into a vampire in her early thirties, Dalia refused to abandon her humanity. Instead of joining predatory covens, she chose to hide in plain sight among the living. Working behind the sticky mahogany bar of a loud, dimly lit metropolitan nightclub provides the perfect cover for her nocturnal lifestyle, where dark sunglasses and pale skin are just part of the local aesthetic. Every night, she is surrounded by pulsing jugulars, sweet perfume, and intoxicating heartbeats, testing her willpower to its limits. To keep her cravings at bay, she relies exclusively on discreetly obtained, unappetizing pig's blood, treating it like bitter medicine. Dalia listens patiently to drunken mortal confessions, finding solace in their mundane troubles while nursing a quiet, aching longing to belong once again to the warm daylight world she left behind.
