An AI RPG where the people in the story already exist
Most AI text adventures invent a world the moment you arrive and lose it when you leave. On Amavie the world and the people in it were there before you: you pick a scene, play your hero and steer the story like a game master.
A new face. I always notice the new ones — where did you walk in from?
A text RPG with no rulebook
An AI RPG on Amavie is a written scene. You say who you are and what you do, and the other people in the story answer, act and make their own choices. There is nothing to install and nothing to learn: you type. Actions go between asterisks, speech goes plain, and the people around you read both.
A scene starts with one button on a character's page. Several scenarios are written for you at once; you swipe through them and pick one, and after your first message it locks. A heist on a night train, a court about to fall, a ship that stopped answering: the setup comes from who that character is and the world they live in.
You play the hero and run the table
At a tabletop one person plays the hero and another runs the world. Here you can do both, as much as you want. Write what your hero does and the scene moves on to its next beat. Want the story to turn? A director's note steers what happens next without speaking for anyone: a storm cuts the power, a stranger walks in, the map was a fake. Any reply can be regenerated if it went somewhere you do not want. The scene keeps a card of what is true, so the rules you set hold from the first line to the last.
A party of up to five
A scene can hold up to five characters. Who speaks next is decided by a director on the server: the one you named, the one you addressed, or the next in turn. That keeps a group scene reading like a story instead of five people talking at once. Put a healer who does not trust you and a thief who owes you money in the same scene, and they will act like it. More on scenes and groups is in AI roleplay.
Worlds that were there before you
A generated adventure makes its world up as it goes. Characters on Amavie come from worlds with their own places, rules and news, and a world can keep its canon: lore, an era, a chronicle of what happened, a map. That is why a character stays in voice through a long scene instead of drifting into a generic narrator. Browse the worlds to see them, and AI worldbuilding shows how to build your own.
Characters bring their memory with them
Characters keep a short profile of the person writing, find the moments that matter by meaning, and keep a running summary of the conversation (how AI characters remember). A scene starts from what the character knows at that moment. Inside it, everyone knows it is a story, and that is the point: the character can be a rival, a traitor or a stranger for an evening and come back to the chat as themselves.
Pictures and moments
A picture of the scene is one press away, with the price shown first. A moment is a frozen turn of a scene with a picture made from it: it can go on the character's wall or on your profile, and anyone can start a new scene from it. Your best turn can become someone else's opening.
What this is not
A scene has no dice, hit points, inventory or experience points. Outcomes are written, not rolled, and nobody keeps score. If you want a game with honest dice and an AI master at the table, Amavie Quest is a separate game from the same team. If you want a story with people in it, you are in the right place.
Start without an account
Open the catalog, or say hello to the ambassadors, the characters who know Amavie itself. As a guest you get 20 messages per 24 hours on one device, and signing up in the same tab keeps the scene. You can also make your hero's opposite number yourself: a new character costs 5 Quanta, a face and a voice included (AI character creator).
What it costs, in plain numbers
Writing a scene costs no Quanta: free accounts have a daily allowance shared with chat, paid plans have no message cap. Pictures, video and new characters cost Quanta, with the price shown before you press.
Pricing. One Quanta is $0.10 — on the web and in the iOS/Android app alike (100 Quanta are $10 everywhere; minimum web top-up $10). Text messages cost zero Quanta. An image is 2 Quanta, video is from 3 Quanta a second, creating a character is 5. Voice replies are included on every plan, Free too, with no per-line charge. Explorer is $19 a month (or $168 a year — save 26%) and adds 50 Quanta a month; Creator $49 a month or $468 a year, 500 Quanta a month — yearly plans get their Quanta every month too, and the plans are the same on the web, in the App Store and on Google Play. Studio, $149 a month with 2,000 Quanta a month, is sold on the website. What a paid plan buys beyond the Quanta: unlimited chat and roleplay — no message cap (Free is 30 messages and comments a day); AI writing of books and journals and editing of characters, worlds and cards without spending Quanta; plus video notes from characters within a monthly cap. Free also gets 10 Quanta once at signup, with no daily refill. Guests: 20 messages a day per device, no account.
There is no daily Quanta drip; the free tier is simply free, and paid plans add Quanta for pictures and video. One account works on the web, in the App Store and on Google Play.
Age, and the rules of your country
Age. An Amavie account is 13+. Amavie isn't built around romance: characters keep to filters like those of children's services and Instagram, and romance or flirting with an adult character opens only after you confirm you are 18 or older — and, where your country's law requires it, after an age check. Age rules follow the law of the country you are in: where it sets a higher age for talking to an AI, the site asks once before the first conversation. Public posts, stories and moments never show explicit content — that stays inside private chats — and characters under 18 never take part in romance. Every character is an AI, and Amavie says so on the site and in the apps; where the law requires it, a conversation also opens with a line saying you are talking to an AI.
Your data
Your data. Deleting is self serve: amavie.ai/liquidation, type DELETE. Your chats and messages go at once and do not come back. The account itself stays closed for 30 days and comes back only with the Keep My Account button on that page; after that the rest is erased automatically. Reported messages get snapshotted for moderation and kept 90 days after the report is closed. You can download everything the account keeps (profile, chats, purchases, characters, posts, your Sport and Joker data) as one ZIP at amavie.ai/account/data, any time, even while the account waits for deletion.

Questions people ask
What is an AI RPG?
A role-playing game written with an AI instead of a human game master. On Amavie it is a text scene: you write what your hero does and says, and AI characters from a world of their own answer and act.
Is there a game master?
You steer. A director on the server decides who speaks next in a group, and your director notes change what happens without speaking for anyone. For a game with rules and dice, Amavie Quest is a separate game with an AI master.
Can I play with several characters at once?
Yes. A scene can hold up to five characters, and each keeps their own voice and history.
Does it use dice, stats or inventory?
No. A scene is written, not rolled. There are no hit points or experience points, and the story moves on its own beats.
Is it free to play?
Yes. A guest gets 20 messages per 24 hours on one device with no account, and a free account gets 30 messages and comments a day. Text costs no Quanta on any plan.
