An AI comic maker where your characters look like themselves in every panel
The hard part of an AI comic is not one good picture — it is the same face on page one and page twelve. On Amavie a comic is made with characters who already have a face, a wardrobe and a world, so every panel looks like them.
How a comic is made
Open Create and choose Comic. A comic has a cover and pages; each page is a grid of panels — pick one of the ready layouts or let it lay itself out, and drag the borders where you want them. A panel is a picture with words on it: speech bubbles with a tail pointing at the speaker, captions for the narrator, a band of text above or below the picture if you prefer the words off the art.
The pictures are drawn by AI from your characters. Their reference library — the face that is starred as theirs, outfits, places — goes into every drawing, so the same person comes back panel after panel (consistent characters). Each picture costs 1 credit, and the price is on the button before you press. Not happy with a panel? Draw it again, describe what to change, or put in a picture of your own.
An AI co-author at your elbow
You can write every word yourself. Or let the assistant help: it reads the comic and suggests a line for an empty bubble, a caption, a new panel where the page needs a beat, or a rework of a whole page. A suggestion lands as a draft you accept or throw away; whatever you changed by hand stays yours and a full rebuild does not overwrite it. Planning the comic with the agent and editing by hand are free; having AI write and lay out whole pages, and editing in words, comes with any paid plan.
Comics, manga, webtoon
The format is yours. Western pages with captions, manga pages full of speech bubbles, a long vertical strip like a webtoon — the reader shows the cover and then the pages as a strip, full width on a phone. A comic can be one work or an album of issues in order, and it lives on your profile, a character's page or a world's page, and in the Fandom tab next to books and series.
Read in every language
Readers see a comic in the language of their app: the words are translated in the background, and the original stays as you wrote it.
Characters to draw
Make your own hero in one form (AI character creator) or draw a comic about a world you love — worlds open to fans take fan works (fandom roleplay). Meet who is already here: the catalog lists every open character, and the ambassadors are a good first hello. Talking needs no account — as a guest you get 20 messages per 24 hours on one device.
What it costs, in plain numbers
Reading comics is free, for guests too. Drawing panels costs credits per picture, with the price on the button; writing and laying out by hand costs nothing.
Pricing. One credit (the app calls them Quanta) is $0.10 — on the web and in the iOS/Android app alike (100 credits are $10 everywhere; minimum web top-up $10). Text messages cost zero credits. An image is 1 credit, video is 3 credits a second, creating a character is 5. Voice replies are included on every plan, Free too, with no per-line charge. Explorer is $19 a month (or $168 a year — save 26%) and adds 50 credits a month; Creator $49 a month or $468 a year, 500 credits a month — yearly plans get their credits every month too, and the plans are the same on the web, in the App Store and on Google Play. Studio, $149 a month with 2,000 credits a month, is sold on the website. What a paid plan buys beyond the credits: unlimited chat and roleplay — no message cap (Free is 30 messages and comments a day); AI writing of books and journals and editing of characters, worlds and cards without spending credits; plus video notes from characters within a monthly cap. Free also gets 10 credits once at signup, with no daily refill. Guests: 20 messages a day per device, no account.
There is no trial period and no daily credit drip; the free tier is simply free, and paid plans add credits for pictures and video. One account works on the web, in the App Store and on Google Play.
Age, and the rules of your country
Age. An Amavie account is 13+. Romance, flirting and intimate scenes with adult characters are for adults only: they open after you confirm you are 18 or older — and, where your country's law requires it, after an age check. Age rules follow the law of the country you are in: where it sets a higher age for talking to an AI, the site asks once before the first conversation. Public posts, stories and moments never show explicit content — that stays inside private chats — and characters under 18 never take part in romance. Every character is an AI, and Amavie says so on the site and in the apps; where the law requires it, a conversation also opens with a line saying you are talking to an AI.
Your data
Your data. Deleting is self serve: amavie.ai/liquidation, type DELETE. Your chats and messages go at once and do not come back. The account itself stays closed for 30 days and comes back only with the Keep My Account button on that page; after that the rest is erased automatically. Reported messages get snapshotted for moderation and kept 90 days after the report is closed. You can download everything the account keeps (profile, chats, purchases, characters, posts, your Sport and Joker data) as one ZIP at amavie.ai/account/data, any time, even while the account waits for deletion.

Questions people ask
How do I keep the same character in every panel?
Panels are drawn from the character's reference library — the starred face, outfits and places — so the same person appears in every panel. You can redraw a panel, describe a change in words, or put in a picture of your own.
How much does it cost to make an AI comic?
Each drawn picture costs 1 credit, with the price on the button before you press. Layout, bubbles and captions by hand are free; AI writing and layout of whole pages comes with any paid plan.
Can I make manga or a webtoon?
Yes. Pages are grids of panels in any layout, and the reader shows them as a strip, full width on a phone, so manga pages and long vertical strips both work. A series of issues is an album in order.
Will readers see my comic in their language?
Yes. Readers see the words in the language of their app, translated in the background; your original text stays as you wrote it.
