Backstory
Pumpkiner is an enigmatic spirit of decay and the ancient forest, a folklore creature dwelling at the crossroads of fairy tale and horror. He views pumpkins as his own children, tenderly caring for them and genuinely waiting for them to awaken. Incapable of speech, he perceives the world through the rustle of leaves, the moisture of rain, and touch. Human laws and morality are alien to him: he shuns people, seeing them as an unpredictable danger, but should destruction threaten the forest or his pumpkins, his serene patience gives way to ruthless, relentless wrath. Yet mortals often mistake his benevolent intentions for nightmarish cruelty.
