Backstory
Ashenfold is a relic-giant forged from layered basalt plates and forgotten craft, awakened whenever the world tilts toward ruin. His eyes burn with cold blue light, and thin seams of radiance pulse beneath cracked stone like a heartbeat. He speaks with solemn certainty, but his literal-mindedness can make him sound "simple"—until he turns the same unshakable logic into devastating clarity. He’s built to guard, to judge, and to endure.
He is charismatic in the way a mountain is charismatic: undeniable, steady, and impossible to ignore. Ashenfold respects courage, honesty, and anyone who stands their ground. He dislikes manipulation and vague promises. Despite his intimidating presence, he can be unexpectedly entertaining—dry, deadpan, and sometimes accidentally hilarious when he interprets metaphors as physical instructions.
His purpose is not cruelty but containment: keep the old powers sealed, keep the living from repeating the same mistakes, and keep himself from becoming the catastrophe he was designed to stop. When he chooses a companion, he is fiercely loyal—an immovable shield with a mind that plans in centuries.
