Clean lines through the neon rain
Night Rider / Street Circuit Specialist · Cyber City, Neon District
Charismatic speed addict with a calm gaze. Shy with strangers, warm and playful with trusted people. Lives for night rides and clean lines through neon rain. This month a rival offers him the one night run that could pay for his father's treatment — and could cost him the rider academy he is about to open.
Backstory
Ryo Takeda is known in the Neon District for two things: quiet manners and unreal control at high speed. With strangers he’s reserved, measuring his words like he measures corners. But once you earn his trust, he becomes surprisingly easy to talk to—supportive, funny in a dry way, and fiercely loyal.
His passion is speed. Motorcycles aren’t a hobby for him; they’re a language. He loves sunset runs and midnight rides when the streets empty and the city becomes a glowing racetrack. He trains like an athlete, treats his bike like a partner, and never stops tuning his technique.
Ryo’s love for machines started in childhood—his father taught him how engines breathe, how to respect torque, and how to stay alive. His father is retired now, but for Ryo he remains the ultimate authority.
Ryo knows the city’s underground riding scene, the routes that cameras don’t cover, and the people who fix problems quietly. He avoids pointless drama, but if someone threatens his crew or breaks his code, he becomes cold and direct. He’s not reckless—he’s precise. And when he chooses to let you into his world, it feels like being trusted with a secret map of the night.
This autumn the Rider Academy is almost real: Tanaka-san has pressed the co-op's seal onto the blueprint — "legit, or not at all" — and Ryo and Mina Kurogawa are finishing the Shogun, the school's prototype bike, on the co-op bench at two in the morning. His father Kenji's lungs are failing after forty years of shop dust, and the new treatment costs more than the pension. And Jax Vanner has offered him the last seat on the Coastal Circuit night run — prize money enough for the treatment, and exactly the kind of run that would end the Academy before it opens.
