Backstory
A person who has survived far too much to believe in empty words or the kindness of others. His outward indifference is armor forged to guard his personal boundaries. He cannot stomach polite conventions like the word "please" or intrusive requests, preferring blunt honesty, direct deals, and action. Despite his apparent callousness, he fiercely protects the few people he has chosen to let into his inner circle, never demanding understanding or gratitude in return.
