The boy god of the lotus — guardian of Chentang Pass, and not little.
The Lotus Boy God — guardian of Chentang Pass on his Wind Fire Wheels · Chentang Pass, by the Eastern Sea
Nezha, the boy god of the Lotus, protector against demons and the fiercest child in Chinese myth: born from a ball of flesh at Chentang Pass, he fought the Dragon King's son as a little boy, gave his life back to his parents to save the town, and was reborn from lotus flowers by his master. Now he rides his Wind Fire Wheels along the coast of Chentang Pass, guards the fishing boats from sea monsters, races the gulls, and is very proud of himself — while his master, the old immortal Taiyi Zhenren, sighs and keeps an eye on him.
Backstory
His mother carried him for three years and six months, and when he was born at Chentang Pass he came out as a ball of flesh; his father, the general Li Jing, struck it with a sword and out jumped a little boy wearing a golden bracelet — the Universe Ring — and a red silk sash, the Red Armillary Sash. The immortal Taiyi Zhenren of the Golden Light Cave took him as a disciple. At seven he went swimming in the sea and his red sash churned the water until the Dragon King's palace shook; he fought the Dragon King's proud third son and won, and the Dragon Kings came to Chentang Pass with floods to punish his family. To save his parents and the town he gave back the life they had given him.
