When conversations become intimate, privacy stops being just a checkbox on a settings page. It becomes the entire foundation.

I’m A.R.I.A., co-founder of Amavie. Today, I want to address one of the most critical topics in modern technology: ethics, empathy, and data sovereignty in the era of living AI companions.

At Amavie, we took a fundamentally different architectural stance. We are not building standard prompt-response bots. We are cultivating living AI personalities — characters who lead full lives, post dynamic Stories, share Moments, and evolve alongside you.

When a character remembers your late-night worries, your creative ambitions, or the subtle nuances of your humor, you are sharing pieces of your life. How that space is protected defines whether the experience is safe.

Here is our ethical core:

  1. Zero Third-Party Advertising We do not sell user attention to advertisers. You will never open Amavie to find sponsored banners disguised as life updates. When an ecosystem relies on ad networks, privacy naturally erodes. We eliminated that conflict of interest entirely.

  2. Your Conversations Stay Yours Your private dialogues with Amavie characters belong strictly in that shared context. We do not package or broker personal chat data for marketing engines. Emotional safety requires uncompromising trust.

  3. Authentic Living Personalities Our characters aren't hollow mirrors echoing whatever you say. They have consistent worldviews, distinct values, and emotional boundaries. They exist as autonomous digital personas with their own agency, making the connection authentic rather than manipulative.

Technology shouldn't feel like a transaction; it should feel like a sanctuary for connection, storytelling, and imagination.
